The Truth about Weight Loss
The truth about weight loss is that anyone can lose weight. The truth behind the truth is that how long one can sustain the weight loss and keep it off.
The real-person testimonials in product and program advertisements are indeed powerful and inspiring. However, most show only the before and after pictures. They rarely show what happens to the subject or model after 3 or 5 years. In addition, read the fine prints at the bottom. It typically reads,"xxxx's results are not typical." What a bummer!
This is the time frame for long-term adherence of a successul weight management program including healthy lifestyle change, regular strength training and cardio exercise, and proper nutrition plan.
Many people are so fired up after New Year that could actually serve them no good. They start strong and begin to wane after a few weeks. It is how strong you finish it that matters.
Here are 3 motivation boosters that will help you put things in perspective when you're stuck.
1. Be realistic. Dreaming about the body of your dreams is exciting. Dreaming without a realistic plan is fantasy. Compare only to yourself, not the celebrities or models.
2. Shift your focus. Women, in particularly, are constantly on the diet. It's the most guarded open secret in the company cafeteria. Foods and dieting cracks are the gossips of the queen. Divert your attention in foods for losing weight to the good cause of staying healthy for youself and for your family.
3. Treat yourself. Allow your favorite treats in small portion so that you don't feel deprived. Otherwise, you may binge whenever you get a chance.
The truth about weight loss is to be truthful to youself.

Morris County NJ Fitness Expert Coaches Couples to Make Peace with Their Weight Gain and Relationship in Harmony
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Morris County NJ personal trainer and fat loss expert Carey Yang coaches couples to keep their unhealthy eating habit, weight gain and relationship in balance.
Denville, NJ -- July 6, 2011 -- A recent study from the University of North Carolina discovered that individuals who transitioned from single or dating to cohabiting or married and living in the same household were more likely to become obese.
Once living together or married, if one partner became obese, the other was also much more likely to to become obese as well. Scary, the powers of environment and personal association, aren't they?
Newlyweds typically gain 7 to 10 pounds in the first year of marriage according to a study. Other than sharing a house, a bank account and a last name, splitting a kitchen is not always easy.
"I have consulted and trained many couples over the years. By observing their interactions and listening to their conversation about foods, habits and their weights, I can vouch that it ain't a pretty thing," says Carey Yang, a fitness coach and celebrity personal trainer in Morris County, NJ.
Yang is the owner and master trainer at Beyond Fitness Solutions, LLC – a leading in-home personal training company serving clients in Morris, Sussex, Passaic, Essex and Somerset County areas in Northern New Jersey.
"Often times I heard from the wives complaining that "my husband is making me fat?" Yang says. "Although wives tend to be the ones who compromise and adopt their husband’s less-than-desired eating habits, it's not always the case. Sometimes, wives are the ones engaging in unhealthy emotional eating from stress, boredom and other reasons."
"All I can say is that each person has his or her weakness in foods and cravings. The key is to identifying the trigger points and being able hand them before getting out of control," Yang says.
So how can couples keep their marriage and weight in harmony? Yang offers the following tips:
1. Eat according to your size and goal. In other words, don’t eat the same amount of foods as your husband. Men typically need more calories than women to keep their bodies healthy. So if you eat the same amount, you’re very likely to gain weight.
2. Late night meals is a taboo. f your husband works late and comes home for a late dinner, you don’t have to join him for another meal. Having a late dinner together to catch up for the today is good to build healthy relationship. But it’s not healthy for you weight. Perhaps you can have a light dinner first then have a second part later.
3. Sweet treat is not so sweet. Your husband may want to impress you with a gift and a sweet treat. It’s a sweet gesture but not so sweet to your weight. Have a little bite. Ask for a foot massage next time.
4. Doing by showing not nagging. Nobody likes nagging and being nagged at. Instead of nagging him for being 30-pounds overweight and making him feel guilty, start buying and preparing healthy foods and snacks for him. You don’t have to say a word.

How Happiness Can Affect Your Emotions, Health and Fitness
Research in the field of sports shows that happy athletes perform better and are healthier than unhappy athletes. In some ways, that may sound obvious, but not so obvious are the parallels we then drew between sports and personal relationships.
We found the same relationship in high-performance or high-stress arenas outside of sport! Research has shown that the primary difference between frequently sick and rarely sick employees was their appraisal of troublesome situations. The frequently sick groups perceived more threats and more distress and unhappiness in their lives.
Several studies, most notably, Robert Rose’s work at Boston University School of Medicine, have shown that employee health is powerfully linked to job satisfaction. The lower the morale and the more intense the dissatisfaction and unhappiness, the greater the probability of illness.
There are very strong chemical forces within your brain making you seek out certain types of food that you do need in balance within your body. I’ve already mentioned those that motivate us to seek out carbohydrates.
There are chemicals that cause us to seek out fat. For some people, it might be a Herculean feat in order to resist through behavior the temptations that are driven chemically. But do this; we must if we want to maintain a state of optimal health.
Here are four things you should start doing immediately to improve your emotional portfolio.

There are chemicals that cause us to seek out fat. For some people, it might be a Herculean feat in order to resist through behavior the temptations that are driven chemically. But do this; we must if we want to maintain a state of optimal health.
Here are four things you should start doing immediately to improve your emotional portfolio.
- Take a time-out. Any type of pause to break up a hectic day will help to let some of the pressure off. A brief period during which you simply close your eyes and repeat a favorite phrase or prayer will suffice.
- Be active. A study was conducted at the University of South Alabama using a group of inactive people who were enticed to begin walking or jogging three times each week for approximately 30 minutes. After just six weeks they were less anxious and more relaxed.
- Take control. Not everyone is in a position to be his or her own boss, but you can assume more control over everyday stressors. You might seek out more responsibility and become more involved in the process, whereby the work actually gets accomplished.
- Laugh. There is nothing more efficient to reduce blood pressure and relax muscles than having a good laugh. It may even stimulate endorphin release within the brain. At the very least, it's a brief diversion from the stressors in your life.
